Meet Rachid

Born and raised in Marrakech, Rachid Ouassil was never far from beauty or community. Today, both play an integral role in his business and personal life. As the owner of Sheherazade Home and Sheherazade Rental & Event Design, Ouassil travels the world seeking one-of-a-kind furnishings, textiles, lighting, decorative objects and antiques. You’ll often find him back in Morocco or in India working alongside artisans to bring classic and unique designs to life. His personal passions for cooking and floral design lend themselves well to his events business, where he helps clients bring their vision of a perfect wedding, party or other celebration to life.

Each piece is hand-selected by owner Rachid Ouassil, who travels to Morocco, India and Turkey meeting with artisans to collaborate and create his own designs. The boutique has graced the pages of ELLE Décor, The New York Times, Architectural Digest and Vogue thanks to Ouassil’s
